What is a Transfer Station?
A transfer station provides a system for collecting, sorting and distributing waste. There is no long term storage or incineration of waste at our transfer station.
How it works
Waste is collected and brought by truck to the transfer station, where it is emptied onto a large open indoor sorting area. In the sort area workers separate recyclables (such as cardboard, glass, newspapers, wood, etc.) form non-recyclalbe waste. Once separated the waste is loaded into trucks and containers for shipment to finishing centers.
